REQUEST FOR ABSTRACTS

January 22, 2020

To Potential Presenters:

The 2020 SEA Northwest Conference will be hosted by the SEAW Seattle Chapter September 17-18, 2020 at The Westin Hotel in the heart of downtown Seattle.

The NWC - Seattle Committee is seeking submissions by practicing engineers, academia, and vendors consistent with the NWC theme, Innovation in Structural Engineering. Presentations will be 60 to 75 minutes total, including time for Q & A, and may be focused on advanced analysis techniques, case studies, evaluation and retrofit of existing structures, best design practices, and other topics that focus on unique, forward thinking, innovative approaches that symbolize our SEA's and the unprecedented growth of our region.

Abstract Requirements:

  • Click here to complete Abstract Submittal Form below must be completed and returned by March 1, 2020.

  • Abstract should be emailed separately to Katie Bohocky, SEAW Executive Director.

Speakers will be notified of abstract acceptance by March 30, 2020.

Speakers will be provided with required presentation guidelines after acceptance of abstract. Standard AV equipment will be in the room: podium, laptop, wireless microphone, projector and screen. All speakers receive free full registration and a $500 travel/expense allowance.

Upon acceptance of your abstract, the NWC will require:

Your photo - business head shot, jpeg format, high resolution by April 13, 2020.
* Your slides (on the official template provided) - submitted to NWC by August 1, 2020.
