April Shen, who received the BSCE from the University of Washington in May 2012, grew up in the Pullman area, and lived in China for 10 years. She plans to begin structural engineering graduate studies at UW following her Summer 2012 internship at Magnusson Klemencic Associates.

April has served as President of the UW ASCE Student Chapter and as Outreach Representative for the SEAW YMF.
