Background:
As an industry leading manufacturer of engineered wood products, the Weyerhaeuser Product Engineering team plays a critical role in ensuring code compliance and supporting the specification and application of Weyerhaeuser engineered wood products. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of a diverse team of engineers primarily dividing their time on product engineering issues that include resolving technical field questions, preparing code evaluation submittal documents, supporting industry activities and developing product specification literature and structural design software. Other engineering responsibilities will include supporting laboratory experiments and product manufacturing activities.

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $69,300-$113,500 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5-7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

HDR is looking for a Structural PE (entry-level) to support our growing Building Engineering Services team in Oregon and SW Washington. The successful candidate would be seated in the Vancouver, WA office, with opportunities to work with a wider team in the Portland, OR office and other offices across the region. HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group (BES) provides mechanical, electrical, plumbing, site civil, structural and specialty design services for a wide variety of building and non-building (e.g. substation, industrial, water treatment) structures that include public, municipal, private and Federal project types across the region and globally to both internal and external clients.
In this position, you’ll gain exposure to a wide variety of projects including, but not limited to industrial facilities, substations, waterfront facilities, water treatment plants, fish hatcheries and hydroelectric projects. You’ll work with a wide variety of structural materials, including steel, reinforced concrete and reinforced masonry.
